Old Mill Brewpub & Grill is looking for experienced kitchen help. We are a collaborative, fast-paced, and engaging kitchen to work in. We strive to serve a quality product and provide a great working environment for our staff. Our linecooks work multiple roles depending on the day, including: expeditor, cooking on the line during service, dishwashing, and prep. We need cooks who can work clean, cooperatively, fast, and prepare food to the exact specifications our customers expect.
Responsibilities:
-Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
-Prepare all food and beverages in accordance with company guidelines
-Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment
-Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
-Clean up station and take care of leftover food
-Stock inventory appropriately
-Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
-Maintain a positive and professional working environment
-Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
-Must be able to work in a non-routine position
-Must have an thorough understanding of sanitation practices
-Must possess exceptional attention to detail
-Must have excellent communication skills
-Must be able to work in a team environment
-Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to work standing for up to 8-12 hours per day
-Ability to lift up to 50lbs
We have openings for full time and part time positions. A minimum of 2-3 years of line-cooking experience in a sit-down restaurant preferred, but we will train the right candidates to each station based on our company's standards and expectations despite previous experience. We pay full rates for training shifts. We offer staff meals and discounts, competitive pay, and for fulltime BOH employees (>30hrs/wk) we offer paid vacation after one year.
