Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Project Manager within the Education sector, specifically at a University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The role revolves around advancing social justice through education and capacity building. The successful candidate will facilitate and develop programming, manage building reservations and event coordination, as well as act as a community liaison and administrative support.Responsibilities: Oversee and facilitate the development of social justice centered programming for students, staff, and the local and global community. Design programs to increase social justice analysis, action, and leadership among students of varying experience with social justice issues and practice. Manage building reservations and communicate with students, staff, faculty, and community members regarding the utilization of space. Confirm and manage logistics for all events, resolving immediate operations issues in the building. Serve as part of the team in brainstorming and planning social justice leadership projects and events. Develop and execute promotion and outreach plans for programs. Provide on-site support for events and act as a resource for individuals planning co-sponsored or partnership events. Develop, maintain, and communicate accurate records and reports for the Center. Serve as the Center’s key liaison with college support staff and represent the Center in select social justice community initiatives. Utilize skills such as Atlassian Jira, CRM, Database management, and leadership development to effectively execute tasks and projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably within the education sector Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira, CRM, and database systems Knowledge of EO/IR systems, IBM, and 'About Time' tool is essential Experience with budget processes, construction, and customer service is necessary Ability to manage project plans and special projects effectively Familiarity with building management systems Proven track record in leadership development and possessing strong leadership skills Experience in program development Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Passion for social justice and experience in relevant initiatives Understanding of Fund Accounting in the non-profit sector Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
