Job Opportunity: Team Lead - Maintenance Lead/Production Team Lead/Equipment Operator
Maintenance Lead:
As the Maintenance Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the overall maintenance operations of our company. While maintenance constitutes approximately 25% of the role, it is the cornerstone of our operations. Your responsibilities will include performing weekly maintenance on machinery, addressing machinery issues promptly, and conducting routine tasks such as oil changes on large equipment and minor repairs on lift trucks.
Production Team Lead:
Join our team as a Production Team Lead and contribute to the seamless execution of our daily operations. Approximately 50% of your time will involve operating fork trucks and large equipment, handling tasks such as moving pallets, boxes, and crates, loading trucks for delivery, and assisting with mulch deliveries during peak seasons. An additional 25% of your time will be dedicated to supporting machinery and saw operations, aiding the production team, and engaging in light office and computer work.
Equipment Operator:
As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for using large machinery to load customers with mulch in the summer and salt in the winter. Your role extends to operating a large mulch grinder, performing maintenance, and grinding materials for mulch production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute overall maintenance operations.
- Oversee and actively contribute to daily production activities.
- Operate fork trucks and large equipment for material movement and loading.
- Assist with mulch deliveries and engage in machinery and saw operations.
- Perform maintenance on large equipment and contribute to mulch grinding processes.
- Embrace a hands-on approach, getting involved in various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in maintenance, production, and equipment operation.
- Ability to operate large machinery confidently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Self-motivated individual capable of independent decision-making.
- Manufacturing experience and familiarity with large equipment are advantageous.

We are located in Jackson, MI and work Monday-Friday. This postion is 50-55 hours per week from 5:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday and Friday until noon.
