Job Description:
C & K Box Co. seeks a skilled and dedicated Pallet Assembler to join our team. This full-time position involves building custom-sized pallets, boxes and crates of high quality and safety standards in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly & Construction:
Build wooden pallets, boxes, and crates based on detailed blueprints and work order cut sheets.
Use power tools (e.g., nail guns) accurately and safely.
Quality Control:
Perform inspections during and after the assembly to ensure each product meets established quality standards.
Measure materials accurately and verify that dimensions are within tolerance.
Maintenance & Efficiency:
Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and tools to keep the production area in top condition.
Keep workstations organized and assist in daily tasks.
Team Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
Communicate any issues or suggestions for process improvements.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and participate in regular safety training sessions.
Identify and report potential hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50-80 lbs. and endure long periods of standing.
Manual dexterity and stamina for physically demanding work.
Technical & Detail-Oriented Skills:
Experience or comfort with using power tools and machinery.
Strong attention to detail to ensure products meet quality specifications.
Interpersonal Skills:
Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to high work standards.
Experience:
Previous experience in pallet building, woodworking, or manufacturing can be a plus.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Occasionally overtime on Fridays, as needed.
40-hour workweek.
