Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Entry Level Corporate Tax Coordinator in the Retail - Food Store industry located in Grand Rapids, MI. This role will involve a range of responsibilities related to corporate tax preparation, compliance, and analysis.Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, which includes federal, state, and local filings Collaborate with team members to collect financial data, reconcile accounts, and ensure accuracy in tax reporting Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings to support tax planning strategies and guarantee compliance Prepare supporting schedules, workpapers, and documentation for corporate tax filings Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve inquiries and provide assistance with tax-related matters Utilize tax software and other technical tools to efficiently complete tasks and maintain organized records Stay updated on changes in corporate tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities Assist with special projects and assignments as needed to support the overall objectives of the corporate tax department Execute accounting functions and manage accounts payable Perform auditing and bookkeeping functions as requiredRequirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential Experience with 'About Time' software is required Demonstrable knowledge of accounting functions Previous experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary Auditing skills are required Familiarity with bookkeeping functions is necessary Knowledge and understanding of Excise Tax is crucial A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Attention to detail and high level of accuracyRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
