As an RV Service Technician at West Michigan RV, you’ll be responsible for the inspection, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various types of recreational vehicles. You’ll work hands-on with both towable and motorized units, delivering quality service with integrity and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair RV systems including:
Electrical (12V/120V)
Plumbing and water systems (fresh, grey, black)
LP/propane systems
HVAC (air conditioning, furnaces)
Appliances (refrigerators, water heaters, stoves)
Roofs, slide-outs, windows, seals, awnings
Leveling and suspension systems
Perform routine maintenance and system checks
Repack wheel bearings and service trailer brake systems
Document work performed with clear service notes
Collaborate with team members to complete jobs efficiently
Maintain clean and safe work areas and tools
Adhere to all safety practices, policies, and RV industry standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent desired but not a must
Minimum 2 years of experience in RV repair or related trades desired (automotive, marine, HVAC, etc.)
Certification (RVIA/RVDA) is a plus but not required
Solid mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read technical manuals and electrical diagrams
Must have your own basic tools
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong work ethic, reliability, and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, kneeling, crouching)
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
