Description:
We are a general trades / general contracting company that services the commercial construction industry. We work with most major general contractors on projects from student housing and apartments to restaurants, medical facilities, factories, office buildings, and retail stores. We also provide general contracting services for projects up to several million. We are based in west Michigan and we service the surrounding area. We are a growing company and are looking to expand our workforce with quality driven people to support our growth. This position is a learning / helping position working with seasoned carpenters.
We are currently looking for apprentice carpenters. Any experience level welcome to apply.
We are also looking for experienced finish carpenters. There is another ad for Commercial trim carpenter.
Job Description
- General carpentry
- Hollow metal frames
- Commercial doors and hardware
- Cabinets and countertops
- Finish trim (casing and base)
- Washroom accessories and lockers
- Wall protection
- In wall blocking
- Quality installation of all of the above
Job Requirements
- Any construction experience
- Able to lift 40 pounds
- Able to take direction
- Able to safely operate tools and equipment
- Able to work with supervision and be a good listener
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Able to work overtime
- Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must have personal hand tools and select power tools
Compensation
- Starting wage range is $15 - $22 / hr (depending on skill and experience)
- Health, dental, and vision insurance available after 90 days
- PTO available after 90 days
