Van Laan Construction Supply is a construction supply company located in Caledonia, Michigan. We are looking to hire a new team member in the role of Rebar Fabricator.
This is a full time 1st shift position with overtime often available and offers a competitive hourly wage along with an excellent benefit package. (part time positions could be possible as well)
Our fabricators work with reinforcing bar that is used in concrete construction. We take stock lengths of rebar and cut to length, bend and fabricate to the configurations required for each individual order.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Assist in operating rebar fabrication equipment
Assist in all other phases of the rebar fabrication process
Assist in the routine maintenance of all equipment and machinery used in the fabrication process
Assist in loading customers
Assist in unloading incoming deliveries
Some important skills and qualifications:
A commitment to exceptional customer service
A great attention to detail
Basic construction knowledge and mechanical knowledge are very beneficial.
Experience with Hi-Lo operation is beneficial
A person of very high integrity
A person with good communication skills who works well within a team and has an excellent attitude
Must have reliable transportation to work
