Structural Bridge Engineer

Responsibilities: Design various structural projects, primarily including bridges and may include retaining walls, concrete tanks, buildings, and miscellaneous structures. Serve in a technical role on bridge design projects. Perform bridge and other structural analysis and design computations. Perform site visits for bridge project meetings and bridge inspections. Ensure that bridges and structural projects are designed in accordance with MDOT specifications. Prepare progress reports and communications for client. Represent firm and client at public meetings. Collaborate with other staff on multi-discipline projects. Train, coach, and mentor staff. Assist in business development and proposal efforts. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required. A PE registration in Michiganis required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural design field. Experience with MDOT and Local Agency Programs projects preferred. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Familiar with structural and bridge design software.
