We are seeking a P&C Commercial Lines & GB Insurance Curriculum Designer Developer and Trainer whose responsibilities will include:

Design and develop adult learner technical insurance coverage training curricula for all lines of business within Commercial Lines, Personal Lines and Group Benefit segments.

Facilitate high quality technical insurance, product coverage training, to commercial lines, personal lines, and group benefit producers, agency Account Managers, including virtual classroom instruction and traditional in-person training.

Maintain and update curricula programs to ensure they are current with changing industry trends and customer needs.

Manage and administer all activities related to training programs, including timely completion of activities such as continuing education (CE) processing, lesson planning, use of multi-media tools and communication with students, completion of trainee evaluation reports and scheduling and delivering one-on-one feedback to individual trainees, as needed.

Monitor projects, timelines, and deliverables to ensure they are on track and within budget.

20% Travel required

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 + years commercial lines underwriting experience; additional carrier or agency experience with Group Benefits preferred

Prior technical insurance training experience preferred including curriculum design and development

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Effective presentation style and skill s

Strong business acumen

Strong customer experience focus

Time management skills

Exceptional interpersonal skills

CompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
