We are looking for an Operational Technology developer to join our team in building out integrations. You will assist with requirements gathering, designing, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting applications. This position will also include support of facilities and the process controls within these sites as applicable. Interface with various departments, including engineering, production, operations, and IT staff. Assist teams in troubleshooting communications and network issues as applicable. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and maintain OT applications using Ignition.Design and configure graphical user interfaces, data acquisition, data processing, data storage, data visualization, and data reporting using Ignition.Integrate OT applications with various PLCs, sensors, devices, and other systems using APIs and XML.Conduct preventative maintenance on SCADA systems, including upgrading or patching software.Qualifications:Experience in Ignition 8.1 preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft SQLSolid understanding of application development including API developmentFamiliar with Python scripting.Experience in working on projects that include cross-functional departments within I.T.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Communication - possesses exceptional writing and verbal presentation skills enabling her/him to prepare and present information and recommendations to a broad and diverse audienceProficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speakingAbility to learn new computer software applications quicklyLogical, process-oriented natureAbility to communicate clearly via video conference, phone and email with customers, vendors and co-workersAbility to identify and pursue opportunities for improvement in business processes and systemsMust work out of the Grand Rapids, MI corporate office.Travel expectation as needed.#LI-SC1The Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Universal Forest Products and its subsidiaries and affiliates are equal opportunity employers.
