Description We are offering an employment opportunity in the Automotive industry located in GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan. The role is for a Master Scheduler who will be responsible for managing the production schedule based on customer requirements, ensuring capacity constraints are met, and overseeing engineering changes. Responsibilities: Oversee a two-week rolling schedule, making necessary adjustments based on customer demand Ensure the production schedule is disseminated to all relevant staff members and is adhered to daily Monitor production progress daily, analyzing data to identify causes of variances and making necessary adjustments Develop and maintain a capacity requirement plan that supports the master schedule Address production shortages before scheduling the line by conducting component availability reports for current/next day production Coordinate with the demand planning team to ensure the MRP reflects correct allocations Track production schedule attainment and supervise staff members to ensure deadlines are met Liaise between business unit engineering change plans and plant level, coordinating the implementation of all changes with production, materials, engineering, and quality departments Maintain communication with all stakeholders regarding engineering changes and customer requirements Oversee the Engineering Change Management System, providing administrative and technical support to facilitate smooth operation Retrieve and utilize engineering information such as drawings from the appropriate databases for weekly engineering change meetings with the Business unit Ensure safety stock levels of finished goods are maintained and prepare analyses for new product introduction (NPI) and end of life (EOL) products to avoid obsolescence.Skills required for this role include proficiency in CMS Platform, Master Scheduling, Rolling Forecast, Master Production Schedule, Production Schedule, and Stock Levels.Requirements Proven experience in a Master Scheduler role Proficiency in using CMS Platform for managing content and data Strong knowledge of Master Scheduling and Rolling Forecast techniques Experience in handling Master Production Schedule and Production Schedule Ability to manage and maintain optimal Stock Levels Excellent negotiation and communication skills Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
