Job SummaryOversees and supports the timely and accurate administration of provider compensation plans for Corewell Health Medical Group West (CHMGW). This role will be responsible for efficiently managing team resources to enhance team performance, meeting established deadlines, escalating risks, and informing organizational decision-making through the development of analytical models, fair market value assessment, and creation and maintenance of internal documentation. This role will act as a key communicator with internal stakeholders, fostering relationships and aiding in collaborative problem-solving to resolve issues. Essential Functions
Oversees day-to-day administration of provider compensation function at CHMGW, including ownership of select clinical service lines.
Manages Provider Compensation team with delegation of responsibilities, prioritization of work, and issue resolution.
Collaborates with the Director to develop complex analytical models that provide insights related to provider compensation alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Partners with departmental leaders, finance, legal, and HR customers to address issues and facilitate collaborative problem-solving.
Supports management and governance decision-making, including meeting and workgroup facilitation.
Oversees month-end accrual process, including ownership of quality assurance and submission deadlines.
Partners with Director to conduct annual updates to provider compensation benchmarks in alignment with future year budget.
Leads internal process improvement efforts, including development and maintenance of internal process and plan documents.
Supports regulatory review process (including Fair Market Value) for clinical service lines, as needed.
QualificationsRequired
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent accounting, finance, business, health care administration or related field
7 years of relevant experience Progressively responsible work experience in finance with heavy emphasis on financial modeling and analytics, preferably related to compensation.
3 years of relevant experience managing and leading teams.
Preferred
Master's Degree
Familiarity with provider compensation plans, compensation and productivity (e.g., wRVU) benchmarking, and regulatory requirements (such as Fair Market Value and Stark Law).
Healthcare industry experience, including but not limited to, hospitals and physician practices.
