Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist for a short-term contract employment opportunity. This role is in the Insurance industry and will be conducted remotely, taking into account the Eastern Time Zone working hours. The ideal candidate will be tasked with various accounting duties, including data entry and software utilization.Responsibilities: Conduct general accounting tasks and handling cash/deposits Ensure entries are correctly posted to the right accounts. Recording cash collected Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the successful completion of assigned tasks. Use Epic Accounting Software for various accounting functions. Handle customer inquiries and monitor their accounts.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Must be adept at executing Accounting Functions. Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. Must be able to efficiently perform Billing Functions. Should be able to perform Data Entry tasks accurately. Familiarity with Epic Software and Epic System is a plus. Must have a thorough understanding of the accounting principles and practices. Excellent communication skills are required for effectively liaising with clients and colleagues. Strong analytical skills are needed for analyzing accounting data and creating financial reports. Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
