Sustainability Sales Position

Position: Selling sustainability and energy cost savings to big box facilities, manufacturing, distribution, auto, etc.

Location: Oakland County

Job Hours: 45 per week

About Us: Energy Design Engineers (EDE) is an engineering firm specializing in helping our clients reduce their carbon footprint by primarily reducing their energy costs through new technologies. We are seeking a tech-minded sales professional who enjoys the process of selling and understands the value of an educational sales process. Since 2008, EDE has delivered thousands of successful projects to help our clients reduce energy waste and their carbon footprint. Today, we offer new measures like wireless energy monitoring to find further energy waste, power quality monitoring, solar and energy storage, optimized motor systems, and heat recovery that we want to sell to our existing clients. We want to reach out to those who are not our clients to help them establish a sustainability plan, reduce their energy waste, and improve their financial bottomline.

What We Sell: Compressed Air software, compressed air leak audits, network lighting controls, LED lighting, solar and battery storage, wireless energy monitoring and power quality correction, HVAC - specializing in heat recovery, and Level 1 and 2 energy audits.

Responsibilities of this Job:

1. Sell our services and products to our target market.

2. You can demonstrate that you can meet and exceed sales targets.

3. Generate your leads and business. We will provide you with leads once we see you can develop your own business. This job is not for someone uncomfortable with cold calling or developing your business.

4. You need a proven track record of sales success for over 5 years.

5. Conduct facility surveys to gather information and data for our engineering team to run calculations. This often means you are on your feet for 2 - 3 hours without a break.

6. Ability to work independently and provide accurate accounting of your time and efforts.

7. You learn quickly and enjoy working with new software/technologies.

8. You have outstanding communication skills and a track record for building and maintaining long-term client relationships.

9. Commissioning (programming) new lighting projects that you sell. We can go into more detail on this in our interview process.

10. You have and can prove that you have sold effectively in a team environment. At EDE we work as a team to close our projects.

Requirements:

1. Work with the highest degree of integrity and trust with all leads and clients

2. You have a minimum of five years of successful professional sales experience

3. Having a technical mind is important to this position

4. You must be coachable and willing to learn

5. You have a positive attitude and strong work ethic

6. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

7. You can learn new software

8. We have an effective sales system, and following it is essential to the position's success

9. Tech-minded sales reps have done very well in this position

10. You are willing to apply to this job in your initial 90 days 10 hours per day, 5 days a week.

Benefits/Compensation:

Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00

Commission Range: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00

Performance Bonuses: Quarterly and Annual Bonus
