School Social Worker in Grand Ledge The Role:AnthroMed Education is hiring a Social Workerwho will support high school students on-site in Grand Ledge, MI. We are looking for an individual who seeks out collaboration, as many decisions in special education are made as a team. The team in this district meets monthly and prides itself on its teamwork and support. In addition to the support from the district, the chosen Social Worker will also have access to our support program and team, led by our internal LCSW. AnthroMed Benefits:

Provide school-based counseling services to children with IEPs and Gen Ed/consult as needed.
Conduct services in individual and/or group settings based on student’s needs
Create a safe and welcoming environment for students to encourage social, emotional, and educational growth
Develop methods of tracking the effectiveness of behavior support plans through the analysis of behavioral data and make changes to the plan as necessary
Participate in IEP meetings and maintain records of assessments and progress monitoring
Conduct Functional Assessments that incorporate multiple data/information sources, including formal/informal observation of behaviors that interfere with learning
Organize classroom meetings, social skills groups, etc on identified areas of concern for the students
Connect students and families with applicable community mental health organizations
Offer staff development on issues related to social-emotional-environmental factors that impact learning
Promote student self-advocacy and independence by encouraging each student to identify his/her needs and preferences
Collaborate with families about the educational planning for each student
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work
PossessS310 form- Approval to work in MI schools (can be pending)
Previous school social work experience is preferred.
