Description Robert Half currently has an outstanding opportunity in the Engineering industry for a highly-skilled and motivated Human Resources Assistant. This passionate Human Resources Assistant will be in charge of a wide variety of responsibilities, including owning a number of different personnel related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity is with a company in the Engineering industry and is based in the Grand Haven, Michigan area.What you get to do every single day
Assist in new employee on-boarding orientation planning
Perform various administrative duties
Research the internet to discover potential customers
Manage employee database records Requirements - Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Competent in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
Prior experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Approachable and appropriate interacting with staff at all levels in a rapidly changing environment
Foundational knowledge in HR compliance
Experience with HRMS
Foundational knowledge in benefits administration
General familiarity with HR Modules
Experience with benefits administration
Proven knowledge of benefits coordination
HR Department experience highly desired
General familiarity with Plex Manufacturing ERP
Solid understanding of Manage Calendar
Practical knowledge of HR Partners
Comprehension of HRIS conversation
ADP HRB experience desired
Knowledge of Corporate HR
Deep understanding of Calendar Management
Previous experience working with HRBP
Expertise in calendar managements and scheduling appointments
Well-founded grasp of compensation and benefits
Quality experience with HR Payroll System
Prior experience with Managing Calendar
Wide ranging experience with HR Policy
Solid understanding of Maintain Calendar
Proven knowledge of HR Leadership
Earlier work involving HR System
Well-founded grasp of HR Metrics
Practical knowledge of ADP Online
Strong familiarity with HR budgeting
Hands-on experience with Human Resources (HR) Administration
Skills in HRIS
Good understanding of HRB
