Description Robert Half has an exceptional opportunity for a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a recognized company. Matching, batching, and coding invoices, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, and resolving A/P issues are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. Located in Grand Blanc, Michigan, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.Key responsibilities

Provide support during internal and external audits

Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

Operate full-cycle A/P

Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

Perform special projects as assigned

Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis Requirements

-Vaccination for Covid-19

Well-founded grasp of Accounts Payable (AP)

Wide ranging experience with PeopleSoft ERP

Practical knowledge of Process Check Requests

General familiarity with Prepare Checks

Account Adjustments experience preferred

Experience with account analysis

Account Adjustments experience desired

Knowledge of account analysis

Proven knowledge of account reconciliation

Quality experience with Process Weekly Check

Account Discrepancies experience

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
