Industrial Engineer

Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking for a Zone Engineer to support an automotive client in the Flint area. Each Zone Engineer will be engineering solutions and optimizing the manufacturing methods, process, sequencing, and specified tooling for a "zone" of 30+ workstations in the final/general assembly of a vehicle. The Zone Engineer will facilitate and manager the tasks, engineering changes, and solutions needed for that zone to be executed for launch. The Zone Engineer will need to have a strong familiarity with the tooling and process for assembling a vehicle, preferably the final assembly. They will be responsible for communicating with plant representatives, tooling suppliers, and internal engineering teams (ergonomics, industrial, etc.) to optimize their zone and implement solutions for any process or engineering changes for their zone. Factors such as tooling, time standards, ergonomics, and manpower will be designed, trialed, and mapped for the given upcoming vehicle program to ensure the most efficient and safe process is in place for proper manufacturing of the vehicle.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
