Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.As Project Manager, you will oversee projects within the PAPI Pulp & Paper Solutions, Process Automation Process Industries (PAPI) in Escanaba, Michigan, providing clear guidelines, tasks and milestones, while motivating and providing feedback.

You will be responsible for serving as a key member of a team that designs and delivers ABB's portfolio of Automation/Digital solutions which includes devices, systems, solutions and services. This is a position with global grade

Automation Engineering SupervisorYour responsibilitiesImplement Network designs, web base solutions, cyber security assessment, remote monitoring and cloud based applications.

Design and program automated systems such as DCS (Distributed control system), QCS (Quality Control System) and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) for pulp and paper applications.

Help customer develop application and HMI (Human Machine Interface) standards.

Implement control system upgrades, expansions and complete migrations to new platforms.

Implement connectivity solutions to third parties systems.

Work with third party engineering firms.

Participate in control review meetings with customer and engineering firms.

Perform all application and system testing pre and Factory Acceptance testing.

Assist with installation of control system at a customer site.

Perform commissioning and Site acceptance testing.

Control tuning after Start up.

Follow ups with customer's operators and staff.

Develop and support engineering solutions with Product development groups.

Support a full project cycle including pre sales and after sales support.Your backgroundBachelor's degree in Engineering and minimum 10 years of experience or an Associate's degree in engineering technology and minimum 12 years of experience required.

Pulp and Paper Process experience.

Communications skills in English.

Strong IT / Microsoft Windows skills.

Knowledge of OS virtualization based on VMware or Citrix, MS; OPC, OPC/UA, ODBC.

Knowledge of LAN/WAN industrial networks will be an asset.

Basic knowledge of SCADA/DCS control systems.

Experience with ABB 800xA.

Very good communication and Customer relationship skills.

Problem solving and goal oriented.

Ability to work remotely and manage their schedule to achieve results.

Wiliness to learn and accept new challenges.

Ability to travel to customer sites to complete project work. Estimated to be no more than 20 percent.

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.Benefits
