Candidates shall demonstrate strong research potential or have a nationally recognized record of research excellence. Areas of interest include mathematical statistics and/or theory-driven methodology, with a preference for work interfacing with scientific applications. Areas of application may include but are not limited to: agricultural, environmental and climate sciences, genetic/genomic data analysis, image analysis, machine learning and deep learning, artificial intelligence, precision medicine and health outcomes, and physics and astronomy. Candidates must also provide evidence or show potential for excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
