We are dedicated to providing homeowners with a comprehensive suite of services that ensure their properties are always in top condition. HunnyDone members receive baseline preventative maintenance services on a quarterly basis and are the first company they call for any other home project. From routine maintenance and repairs to overseeing large-scale renovation projects, we serve as the go-to solution for homeowners across southeast Michigan.

Position: Director of Project Management

Location: Southeast Michigan, Remote

Job Type: Full-Time

Role Overview:

As the Director of Project Management at HunnyDone, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our operations and customer satisfaction. Success in this position comes from effectively managing and clearly communicating throughout a wide array of home maintenance projects, from initial planning stages through to completion. You will help build our team of maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and client budget. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing project management strategies that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across all services we offer.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the home project management department, overseeing all home maintenance and renovation projects from inception to completion for our members. Ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standard.

Homeowner Expectation Management: Manage expectations of homeowners throughout the project lifecycle. Communicate effectively to ensure clarity and satisfaction with the services provided.

Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures related to project management to ensure efficiency and high-quality service delivery.

Manage customer relationships, working closely with homeowners to understand their maintenance and renovation needs, providing expert advice and solutions.

Coordinate and oversee the work of recurring maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring all projects are executed in compliance with HunnyDone's standards, as well as local building codes and regulations.

Conduct thorough quote and bid analysis for all projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with customer budgets and expectations.

Spearhead the contractor management process, including selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation, to build a reliable network of professionals.

Contractor Oversight: Manage relationships with contractors and ensure they meet HunnyDone’s standards. Oversee their work to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality expectations.

Implement project management tools and software to track project progress, budget, and timelines, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed at all stages.

Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays and cost overruns.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project management team, encouraging innovation and efficiency in all operations.

Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status of projects, including progress, budget adherence, and risk assessment.

Property Onboarding: Oversee the process of onboarding properties into HunnyDone's system. Ensure a smooth and effective integration of new clients and their properties.

Regular Maintenance Coordination: Implement and oversee regular maintenance schedules for properties. Ensure consistent quality and reliability of maintenance services.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance protocols to maintain high service standards. Regularly review and adjust processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Operational Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute operational strategies to enhance service delivery. Plan resource allocation to meet customer demands and business objectives.

Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a team of operations professionals. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Performance Metrics Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance metrics to assess operational efficiency and effectiveness. Use data to make informed decisions and drive improvements.

Qualifications:

Significant experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing contractors from multiple trades within the home maintenance, construction, or related industry.

Strong understanding of the home maintenance and renovation industry, including best practices, tools, and technologies.

Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, from small-scale maintenance to large renovation projects.

Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams of maintenance staff and contractors.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.

Proficient in project management software and tools.

Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in southeast Michigan.

Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel within the service area.

Background Check: Must pass a thorough background check due to the nature of work involving entry into members' homes.

Licensing and Certification: Relevant licenses or certifications in trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing) are

preferred.

Physical Requirements: Capable of performing physical tasks and lifting weights as required for the job.
