Field Technicians can quickly progress from CCNA type work to CCNP level configurations and troubleshooting. Network Engineers can progress to higher level configurations and architecture. This is an ideal training ground to establish yourself as an expert who can work anywhere in the country.
Extreme Engineering, Inc is seeking Network Field Technicians for long-term multi-year projects installing and configuring equipment for America’s cellular carriers. We install and configure routers, switches, servers, and specialized cellular communications equipment.
We often do mission critical work during approved maintenance windows from 11pm to 5am. Must be willing to work some nights.

Extreme Engineering, Inc supports cellular networks. We install and configure equipment in cell tower shelters including Routers, Servers, and Switches; Access Controls; BBUs, CDUs, VCUs; Fiber Optic Cables; AC Units; GPS Antennas; DC Power Plants; Battery Strings; and other equipment.
All work takes place on the ground. We do NOT climb towers.

Job Summary:
We are seeking smart, curious, individuals who love to work on network equipment and learn new technologies. Our industry is constantly changing and we learn new skills daily. With the transition to 5G, cellular networks are being built out like never before for the constantly increasing stream of data flowing through them. We install and configure the equipment which makes this happen.
We work primarily in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. We have offices in Detroit, Columbus and Indianapolis. We will consider candidates based anywhere in the region.
We have positions available for Network Field Technicians and Network Engineers who are based in the office. Remote work is possible.

Must have valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and complete a background check.

Competencies/Skills:
Knowledge of Routers, switches, and command line configuration.
Understanding of network concepts such as VLANs, routing protocols, IPv6, IPv4, and transport media.
CCNA/NP/IE or equivalent from Nokia, Ciena, Samsung, Ericsson or other manufacturers.
Experience creating and editing configurations which comply with network standards documents.
Python experience is a plus.
Creating MOP’s and Close Out Documentation
Installing network equipment and servers in racks.
Cabling network equipment to high standards.
Lacing communications cables with wax string.
Working as a team
Good written and oral communication skills
Rack and stack experience
BICSI training is a plus. Manufacturer certifications are a plus.
Education and Experience:
1-5 years experience or education.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50lbs, work independently at night, and walk uneven terrain.
Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
