Matic Logistic Solutions Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable mechanic for semi trucks and dry van trailers. This is an independent contractor position with flexible work opportunities and competitive pay based on experience and capabilities.
Position Details:
Independent Contractor (1099)
Pay discussed upon interview – based on experience, certifications & skillset
Flexible schedule – project-based or ongoing work available
Local work based out of Romulus, MI
Access to consistent fleet maintenance and repair opportunities
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on semi trucks and trailers
Handle brake systems, suspension, lights, tires, air systems, and other standard repairs
Conduct DOT/MTO inspections and pre-trip compliance checks
Document work completed and parts used
Requirements:
Proven experience working on Class 8 trucks and trailers
Own tools preferred
Reliable transportation to/from Romulus shop or job site
Strong attention to detail and work ethic
Must be dependable and capable of independent work
