GENERAL LABOR NEEDED (INSULATION INSTALLER & AIR SEALING) - GREAT PAY
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Active Energy Engineering is looking for a part time employee to join our crew. The position is for an IMMEDIATE hire. A detailed description of the position in shown below:
(General Labor): The work involves air sealing and insulating homes. The work is mainly retro fits in existing homes, but sometimes new construction jobs are done as well. It is general labor position to which we would prefer experienced candidates for, but exact experience is not required. The most desired feature in an employee for us is reliability. You can drive in our company van to and from the job sites. However, a reliable automobile is required to drive to the loading location (Sterling Heights, 19 & Mound). If you have any of the following please DO NOT apply for this job: unreliable transportation, poor driving record, a criminal record. We work mainly in Macomb and Oakland County. You will mainly be doing duct sealing, rim joist air sealing (foam) and insulation, and attic insulation. You will not have to work alone as there will always be someone working with you. You must be physically fit enough to work a normal 8-hour workday and be willing to work in attics and crawl spaces. You must be able to lift 60lbs and fit into tight places. It is a fairly relaxed working environment. We prefer you take the time to do the job correctly.
HOURS:
We can work around your schedule as well. If you have college courses and need certain days off, we can make this work.
During the off months (March September) the hours are lower, 10-40 hours per week on average.
During the busier months (October February) the hours approach full time, 25-50 hours per week. Hours vary from week to week, but we always try to find work for you to do.
PAY:
This position pays $17 per hour clear to start. If you can demonstrate that you can simply show up on time and follow directions your hourly rate will absolutely increase very quickly. If you have more experience, we may be able to negotiate a higher rate to start.
BONUSES:
After 6 months of consistent employment with AEE we will offer you a $300 bonus. After 12 months of consistent employment with AEE we will offer you a $500 bonus. We want you to grow with our company.
GROWTH POTENTIAL:
-Our business is also involved in home remodeling and generally utilizes the employees for remodeling work like basements, kitchen, and bathrooms. Therefore, this is an opportunity to obtain more hours. Additionally, there is always opportunities to sell insulation services and receive commission. Training to do this would be made available to you. There are also opportunities to get BPI certified through our company (Building Performance Institute Building Analyst). This certification would allow you to perform energy audits.
-These additional avenues would yield additional hours and pay.
