Full Time maintenance/handyman position in a Detroit school near John C. Lodge Fwy & Wyoming Ave.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday (6am-2pm) or 8h/day, 40h/week
Pay: $20 start - $22.00/hour after 2 months of satisfactory performance.
This translates roughly to: $46,000 per year.
We are looking for someone with past experience in handyman work. Basic carpentry/electrical/drywall/painting etc. is necessary to qualify.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: Monitoring school for any potential repairs, basic painting, drywall repair, basic electrical wiring know how, grounds work, some clean-up, communication with contractors to schedule major repairs and supervising their work etc
This is a physically active job. Being on your feet for 7-8 hours will be required. You have to have experience in commercial or resident handyman work and enjoy physical work. Patience, good listening and communication skills are a must.
Since this is a school employment, background check and Valid Driver's license WILL BE REQUIRED to qualify.
