We are seeking an experienced lead dental assistant who is confident in a high volume, fast pace startup office. You will be an extension of the doctor’s right hand by monitoring the workflow and overseeing the dental assisting team while also performing standard dental assisting duties. You must have strong organizational and time management skills. We are seeking someone who is capable of implementing protocols to help keep the office running smoothly and efficient.
The ideal candidate must be conscientious of others and the healthcare environment, compassionate, comfortable with learning new technology and both eager and motivated to learn continuously!
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Oversees dental assisting team, implements protocols, provides chairside assistance to the dentist, takes radiographs, scans patients’ dentition, takes impressions, order supplies, maintain the equipment, handpieces and instruments, ensures infection control protocols are met and performs various other duties that are essential to patient care.
ESSENTIAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Expose, and evaluate digital dental radiographs
Perform infection control and occupational safety procedures
Provide patient education
Maintains strict patient confidentiality both inside and outside of the office.
Take preliminary medical histories and vital signs to be reviewed by the dentist.
Capture clear 3D scans with digital intraoral scanner for study casts, diagnostic casts, orthodontic appliances, and occlusal guards.
Fabricate and cement temporary crowns.
Other dental supportive services authorized by the licensed dentist while under the direct personal supervision of the licensed dentist, provided that such other dental supportive services are not excluded
Participates in office marketing campaigns, social media marketing, ground marketing and other activities that positively promote the practice.
Qualifications:
Two year experience is required
