In this role, you'll be a key player in our kitchen, preparing delicious dishes from our diverse menu. We're looking for someone with a strong background in the kitchen and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you'll also have experience working a counter, interacting directly with customers and handling orders.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to Lost Sailor's recipes and quality standards.
Manage food preparation, including cleaning and portioning fish, chopping vegetables, and preparing sauces.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and presented beautifully.
Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
(If applicable) Assist customers at the counter, taking orders, answering questions, and providing excellent service.
(If applicable) Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a cook in a professional kitchen setting.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, especially with seafood.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role or at a service counter is a significant plus.
