GENERAL SUMMARY: Reporting to department physician leader(s) and administrator, responsible for facilitating project work by providing direction, leadership, and day-to-day management of department projects and initiatives.

Must coordinate department projects, formulate needed enhancements for processes, and work with internal and external customers to successfully meet established goals and deadlines.

Coordinator must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in working independently to complete projects and assignments.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Implement goals and directives of Cancer Quality, Value, and Safety Leadership.

· Coordinate and manage day to day activities related to the Patient Reports Outcomes program and other delegated quality projects.

· Establish and update methodology for tracking key quality metrics.

· Synthesize multiple sources of data, including feedback, to identify areas for improvement; implement strategies to enhance the patient and team member experience.

· Analyze data related to cancer outcomes, treatment processes and patient experience to generate insights and develop recommendations for improvement.

· Conduct root cause analyses for adverse/suboptimal outcomes and develop and implement corrective action plans based on those findings with clinical partners.

· Develop and deliver training programs to educate team members on new or updated quality standards, protocols, and best practices. Provide ongoing education as standards or changes occur.

· Manage internal and external communications effectively by collaborating and disseminating relevant information with key stakeholders.

· Assist as needed with adherence to regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in cancer care.

· Advocate for equitable patient-centered care, ensuring the unique needs and preferences of patients are considered in initiatives.

· Stay informed about advancements in quality improvement methodologies and participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role.

· Provide coordination and support for key committees and meetings.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

One to three (1-3) years of project management/coordination experience preferred.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to prioritize assignments, work independently, and meet deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
