The position is responsible to perform various duties including equipment inspection, administration, organizing, training and response to EMS/Fire Calls, and commercial, industrial, etc. facility inspections and reporting The Fire Marshal is required to maintain certifications as a fire fighter and EMT pursuant to the Fire Departments S.O.G.s. This is a non-union, at will and new hire position. The position is full-time with a comprehensive benefits package; salary will be $54,525-$64,525 DOQ. Grosse Iles Fire Department is staffed by a Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, Office Staff, and approximately 30 volunteer firefighters. The department services approximately 4000 residents.
