Job SummaryThe VWTS Analytical Instruments (Sievers Brand) product line business has an opportunity for a Technical Sales Account Manager to support the East Industrial and Environmental Territory including chemical, petrochemical, microelectronics, municipal, and food & beverage markets. The person in this role will develop strong partnerships with our customers to lead discovery, opportunity evaluation, and opportunity closure expanding our robust install base and facilitate the success of our end users, traveling to regional client sites in the United States. You will provide technical presentations of our industry leading solutions, utilize your commercial expertise to expand networks hunting for new opportunities, and collaborate with our cross-functional teams to support customer accounts.This is a rapidly growing region in the industrial and environmental space, and our commercial group is looking to add a team member who will achieve yearly sales targets, grow the business through customer focus and develop professionally through internal and external training opportunities.Key Characteristics: Strong work ethicDependabilityGood critical thinking skillsEagerness to learnHands on technical engineering capabilitiesDuties & Responsibilities: Generate new business using existing and potential customer networksManage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term successAct as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needsResolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely mannerReport on the status of accounts and transactionsSet and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives.  Monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)Attend company sponsored trade shows within the territory and bring awareness to local or regional conferences that would help create sales opportunities in the territoryHave a technical understanding of our competitors’ products and sales distribution Travel within territory to customer sites to develop and maintain business, perform equipment demos as needed, and assist in the sale of aftermarket productsTravel within the eastern territory- United States and Eastern Canada ≥50%Valid driver’s license is requiredValid passport is requiredMust pass background check for Transportation Worker Identification Credential, also known as TWIC®
