Repair and troubleshoot broken or defective machine parts and maintain them to make sure they are working correctly and properly aligned
Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations
Completing daily work orders related to equipment and machinery to ensure minimum downtime
Identifying and repair problematic parts by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts an equipment
Identify and correct potential issues
Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, hoists etc
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment required
Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent education will be considered in leu of formal education
TIG/Stick welding and fabrication
Ability to work independently and identify solutions with very little supervision.
Resourceful in accomplishing tasks
Experience maintaining mechanical drives, chain drives and conveyor systems
Ability to read and comprehend various prints, schematics and other company related documents
Willingness to be a technical leader within the facility and driving safety for the operation.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear boxes required
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to complete and adhere to all safety training requirements of the facility including, but not limited to: confined space, ARC flash, working at heights,
Effective communication of issues and solutions to cross-functional team members
Hazmat certification a plus
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on the site including exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required.
