Join us and challenge your IT expertise and analytical skills to help create vehicles that are as smart as you are.This job is posted as remote unless the selected candidates lives within 50 miles, then you are required to work hybrid from our Dearborn, MI, or Irvine, CA, office.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Release Solutions Architect / Program Manager to lead the architecture, planning, and execution of firmware releases for our next-generation electric vehicles. In this critical role, you will be responsible for defining the high-level technical architecture for firmware release solutions, driving cross-functional alignment across engineering teams, and ensuring the successful and timely delivery of high-quality firmware updates to our vehicles. You will be a key interface between engineering, manufacturing, and over-the-air (OTA) teams, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of firmware releases. You will also be responsible for communicating program status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders.Architectural Leadership:-Define and champion the high-level technical architecture for end-to-end firmware release solutions, considering scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.-Evaluate and recommend technologies and platforms for firmware release management, version control systems, and build/test infrastructure.-Collaborate with firmware and manufacturing teams to ensure architectural alignment and identify potential integration challenges.Program Management:-Develop and manage comprehensive program plans for firmware releases, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.-Drive cross-functional teams (Firmware, OTA, Manufacturing, Validation) to execute program plans, track progress, and resolve roadblocks.-Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders, including regular status updates, risk assessments, and escalation of critical issues.-Hold teams accountable for their commitments and ensure timely delivery of high-quality firmware releases.Stakeholder Management:-Serve as a primary point of contact for firmware release-related inquiries from leadership and stakeholders.-Prepare and present clear and concise program updates, highlighting key achievements, risks, and mitigation plans.-Proactively identify and manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment on program goals and deliverables.Process Improvement:-Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the firmware release process.-Develop and implement best practices for firmware release management, including version control, build automation, testing, and deployment.-Contribute to the development of a robust and scalable OTA update infrastructure.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on embedded systems or firmware.

2+ years of experience in program management, leading complex software releases.

Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.

Familiarity with automotive software development processes and standards

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Experience with electric vehicle (EV) firmware development.

Bonus: Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for embedded systems.

Experience with cloud-based software deployment and management.
