The Quality Supervisor will be the focal point if contact for quality issues and certifications, ensuring shift-to-shift consistency, and utilizing the data to drive continuous improvement.RequirementsAssist in maintain the Document Control System- follow internal documentation for ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 as well as related controlled documents, both internal and externalConduct ongoing audits of effectiveness including containment, sorting and rework methodsEnsure that process conditions are monitored and controlled for product consistency and according to the specificationsPerform visual, mechanical and functional verification of parts to ensure compliance to set specifications and quality standardsSupport Advanced Product Quality Planning (AQP0 & Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activitiesTrain personnel on proper compliance and adherence to new or updated proceduresUse FMEA and 5S tools to drive continuous improvement within our businessEnsure product and process changes are made only according to the sequence of activities specified in the MSA/CSA processMaintain all process instructions and specificationsAssist in updating shift scorecards, trend charts, management review charts, IATF process measurable & management scorecards and published as requiredProcess monthly claimsMonitors status of rejected/hold material in Hold Area and tracks disposition; rework/scrap/rework to supplierAdditional department / positional duties that the company shall assignQUALIFICATIONSAll candidates must be flexible regarding shifts and overtimeOutstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skillsA minimum of 5 years experience as quality professional in an industrial environmentDemonstrated ability to lead and develop staff membersSolid problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple task at one timeAuditor Training a plusUse of measuring equipment (calipers ,micrometers, etc)Knowledge of the automotive manufacturing industry and containment processesDemonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdhere to attendance policySUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position has some supervisory responsibilitiesWORK ENVIROMENTThe job operates in a steel processing and distribution plant. When on the plant floor the required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be appropriately wornPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe employee is occasionally required to sit: climb or balance: and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee will be on his/her feet often as frequent walking throughout the facility is required. Occasionally required to sit and work in an office, completing reports. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision , color vision, peripheral vision , depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
