Join us and challenge your IT expertise and analytical skills to help create vehicles that are as smart as you are.In this positionManufacturing Digital Engineering (MDE) Product line is looking for an experienced IT Product Manager to join our team of passionate technical specialists, software engineers, and product managers dedicated to build & support software products for our manufacturing plants worldwide.What you'll doAs a key member of our Manufacturing I.T. team, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of Ford’s mobility and electrification efforts. You will be part of a team of dedicated software professionals that will help us to iteratively build and ship high-quality software products to help our customers build quality vehicles.This position is hybrid with the expectation of being on-site with the team 2-3 days a week in Dearborn.Responsibilities:Define and prioritize the product vision and roadmap: Conduct market research, analyze user needs, and identify key opportunities to drive product growth and innovation.Develop and maintain a comprehensive product backlog: Create user stories, epics, and features, ensuring alignment with the product strategy and business goals.Collaborate with engineering and design teams: Communicate product requirements clearly and effectively, provide guidance on technical feasibility, and ensure alignment on product development priorities.Conduct user research and gather feedback: Actively seek user input, analyze data, and identify areas for product improvement.Track product performance and analyze key metrics: Monitor product usage, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance and user satisfaction.Manage the product lifecycle: From ideation to launch and beyond, ensure smooth and efficient product development and delivery.Communicate product updates and insights: Effectively communicate product progress, key milestones, and learnings to stakeholders across the organization.Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies: Continuously learn and adapt to the ever-evolving technology landscape.Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture: Encourage open communication, collaboration, and creative thinking within the product team.You'll haveBachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Business, or a related field.5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in the IT industry.2+ years of software development methodologies experience (e.g., Agile, Scrum).Even better, you may haveMaster of Science degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Business, or a related field.7+ years of experience as a Product Manager in the IT industry.4+ years of software development methodologies experience (e.g., Agile, Scrum).Proven track record of successfully delivering and launching IT products or services.Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc).Passionate about Agility-Lean-ToC, continuous improvement, and fostering a collaborative, innovative work environment.Experience working with cloud-based technologies (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Data-driven decision-making and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Passion for technology and a desire to make a real impact.Knowledge of programming languages, database systems would be a plusExperience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, Confluence etc).Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), or similar Agile certifications would be a plusYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
