You will be tasked with navigating historical data from various sources (warranty, durability test, road loads, customer) and leverage it in for development of new methods for predictive analysis. In this position, your primary focus will be full vehicle durability development, so automotive experience with durability processes is preferred.What you'll doIn this positionBe part of a Ford team responsible for methods development and process evolution. You will be tasked with navigating historical data from various sources (warranty, durability test, road loads, customer) and leverage it in for development of new methods for predictive analysis. In this position, your primary focus will be full vehicle durability development, so automotive experience with durability processes is preferred.Leverage historic data to develop elastomer representation best practices.Look for trends in data to find root causes to frequent DV failures.Take responsibility for managing tested data and develop strategies for parsing data for deep learning development. Make recommendations for analytical methods based upon comparison of historical testing data to analytical predictionsYou'll haveBachelor’s degree in engineering or mathematics or related field0-6+ months of experience in vehicle testing and or durability or equivalent coursework or internship experienceEven better, you may haveMaster’s degree in engineering or mathematics or related field1+ years of experience in vehicle tesing and or durabilityCoursework in finite element analysisExperience in interpreting strain energy tested dataExperience with Structural Strain CAE methodsProgramming Skills (e.g. MATLAB, Python, etc.)Experience using SimCenter (LMS) TestLab, nCode, or ReliasoftDesire to work in fast-paced and highly technical environmentHighly motivated and proactive, with exceptional attention to detailStrong problem-solving skills coupled with strong communication and teamwork skillsYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
