Job Title: Production PlannerJob DescriptionThe Production Planner role is a key driver of business success. This role is an excellent opportunity to work within a team to support our customers and the needs of the business. The role will give many opportunities to work cross-functionally with multiple departments and capabilities to expand overall business knowledge within the glass industry.You will be a production planner for one of the assets, either scheduling the float glass side or the coatings side. You will partner with another person in the role to review demand, ensure stocking programs are maintained, and escalate production opportunities or misses. You will manage overall execution within the M3 system, work within Excel, and perform light data analytics.You will participate in meetings and provide input on improvements and planning. This role is heavily involved in planning, so you will need to challenge the team and leadership respectfully. You will also handle brief presentations on planning details to a small group weekly. Your responsibilities include creating executable schedules that optimize throughput of production lines to meet customer demand and operational plans, maintaining appropriate levels of input and finished goods, reviewing aged and unallocated inventory, collaborating with various departments to address issues, reporting schedule adherence, proactively escalating concerns, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving planning and operational efficiency.Hard Skills
