Location: 850 76th Street S.W. - Byron Center, Michigan 49315 Job Description: Position Summary: In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing the entire deal and promotions process. Your primary focus will be on enhancing accountability and minimizing errors throughout the promotion workflow. Your daily responsibilities will encompass leading a dedicated team that provides vital support for Category Management, OwnBrands, and Sales. Additionally, you will oversee vendor billing requests, ensure pricing accuracy, manage vendor contract submissions, and offer valuable support on various cross-functional projects. Your strategic approach will play a key role in streamlining operations and fostering a more efficient promotions process. Here's what you'll do: Works with internal departments to reconcile items not on file, pricing errors, cost discrepancies, etc. to ensure data integrity and support category profitability. Maintains accurate information related to promotions, costs, discontinued and new items in support of Category Managers and Business Planners Manages the corporate allocation process and output supporting annual Expo events. Supervises the mass credit research & resolution process through team alignment with Category Managers & Customer Service Assures promotional process documentation and training is maintained supporting internal departments and external suppliers. Is the subject matter expert in applicable systems (Acoustic, SWAT, Insite) related to promotions & costs and aligns with appropriate resources to resolve discrepancies. Establishes consistent methods and standards on workflow that provides one way of working, streamlines production, and improves accuracy. Monitors individual performance with skills development of Category Assistant Supervisor, Category Assistants, and Promotions Specialist through cross-functional training, coaching and cross peer exposure. Creates relevant KPIs and scorecards to gauge departmental effectiveness and performance, fostering accountability and goals Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed Here's what you'll need: Bachelor's degree (required) in Business Administration, Finance or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of experience in supervisory/management role. Product line experience in supermarket retail and wholesale environment is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management, organizational, prioritization and analytical skills. Must be detail oriented and able to lead and motivate team to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy. Ability to maintain a strong customer focus and a high degree of professionalism when dealing with internal customers and leaders. Must be able to troubleshoot as needed and make excellent, knowledge- based decisions. Proficient in MS office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
