Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our transport industry team in Byron Center, Michigan. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing large volume vendor accounts, scrutinizing and coding invoices, and preparing check runs. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will also be tasked with researching, establishing, and approving new vendor accounts. Responsibilities: Oversee the processing of a large volume of vendor accounts. Thoroughly review and code invoices to ensure accuracy. Prepare and perform check runs to facilitate timely payments. Conduct research and approve new vendor accounts for company use. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis. Operate MS Dynamics SL to manage accounting functions. Handle accounts payable duties and ensure all accounting functions are performed accurately. Implement auditing procedures to maintain the integrity of financial data. Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. Maintain precise record-keeping of all transactions and activities. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems to handle financial transactions and reporting Expertise in Account Coding to correctly classify company expenses Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data Experience with MS Dynamics SL for efficient financial management Knowledge of Accounting Functions to ensure accurate financial operations Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes to manage company's bills and invoices Skills in Auditing to ensure financial compliance and accuracy Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions for efficient electronic payments management Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
