The Recess Program Staff will attend recess at MacGregor Elementary School to interact with the students and engage with them while providing supervision and organized activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Attend recess programs at MacGregor Elementary School to engage and interact with students acting as a role model.

- Provide leadership for students while facilitating organized activities and games during recess (mainly outdoor recess, occasionally indoors).```{=html}```
- Represent the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA in a professional manner promoting the Y's mission and core values.```{=html}```
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and training.```{=html}```
- Complete any other duties in the spirit of teamwork as assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:
Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certifications preferred

- Knowledge/experience with a variety of sports and physical fitness activities preferred```{=html}```
- Ability and desire to work with school-age children```{=html}```
- Previous experience working with youth and planning activities required```{=html}```
- Exceptional group management, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills```{=html}```
- Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to quickly changing circumstances```{=html}```
- Ability to foresee problems and redirect children before an incident occurs```{=html}```
- Previous experience with diverse populations and ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds```{=html}```
- Background check required
