The Fitness Floor Co-op provides customer service that promotes member wellness in accordance with YMCA policies and creates a safe, enjoyable, and motivational environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Greet and welcome members as they enter the fitness floor

- Provide support for staff and members on the fitness floor by answering questions and providing tours/gym orientations for new members or prospective members```{=html}```
- Monitor patrons on the fitness floor to ensure proper techniques and the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training equipment```{=html}```
- Enforce YMCA policies and procedures to members and guests to ensure safety```{=html}```
- Help to maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility including cleaning equipment, stocking towels, filling sanitizer bottles, putting weights and equipment away```{=html}```
- Help set up classes and programs as needed```{=html}```
- Answer calls on the phone and 2-way radio as needed```{=html}```
- Assist members with in-person program registrations (using computer)```{=html}```
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and training```{=html}```
- Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service```{=html}```
- Other tasks as needed to support all departments of the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA in the spirit of teamworkQUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a high school student eligible for Work Based Learning Program

- Minimum age of 16```{=html}```
- Experience in a fitness center and/or sports setting preferred```{=html}```
- Red Cross CPR/AED certification preferred
