Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Metal Parts Finisher to join our team in a metal 3D printing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of finishing tasks on 3D-printed metal parts, ensuring that parts are clean, polished, blasted, and prepared for further processes. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, ability to work with various tools, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Polishing: Use polishing tools and techniques to smooth and finish metal parts, ensuring a high-quality surface finish, removing imperfections, and achieving required surface roughness.
Blasting: Operate sandblasting and shot blasting equipment to remove excess material, smooth surfaces, and prepare parts for further processing or finishing steps.
Cleaning: Clean 3D-printed parts, removing support structures, residual powders, or contaminants from the parts using ultrasonic cleaners, chemical solutions, or manual methods as needed.
Documentation: Record and track each part’s progress throughout the finishing process, ensuring all work is documented and traceable.
Safety: Follow safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical or vocational training in metalworking or manufacturing is a plus).
Ability to handle chemicals and cleaning solutions safely.
Strong attention to detail and an eye for quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous work with metal parts, especially in post-processing or finishing roles, is beneficial.
Basic knowledge of CAD software or part design processes is a plus.
Previous experience working in a metal finishing or manufacturing environment, particularly with 3D-printed metal parts, is preferred.
Familiarity with polishing, sandblasting, or similar techniques in a production setting.
