Description Our trusted client is seeking an Assistant Controller Consultant for a long-term engagement. This hybrid role is located in Ann Arbor Michigan and will report directly to the Controller.The day-to-day responsibilities include: Executing journal entries as part of the accounting process Assisting with month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Utilizing software such as Great Plains, HFM, and Black Line for accounting tasks Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger and balance sheets Performing account and bank reconciliations as necessary Implementing and maintaining internal controls Using Microsoft Excel and Oracle for various accounting tasks Collaborating with the corporate accounting team on various projects and tasksRequirements The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role within the manufacturing industry Proficiency in account reconciliation is required Experience with balance sheet reconciliation is necessary Familiarity with bank reconciliations is mandatory The candidate should have a strong background in managing general ledger Ability to prepare and review journal entries is a must Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential Experience with month end close procedures is requiredRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
