The cover letter should address your specific interest in the position and outline skills and experience that directly relate to this position.SummaryThe Wu laboratory at the Life Sciences Institute (LSI) is looking for a Research Laboratory Technician Intermediate who is interested in developing new RNA therapeutics and delivery platforms for several disease applications, including cancer immunotherapy. You will join a collaborative workplace and will assist with several research projects in the lab, including development, screening, and in vivo evaluation of RNA nanoparticle systems. You will report directly to Dr. Wu and work with members of the laboratory. Assist with synthesis and characterization of therapeutic RNA molecules,in vitroscreening of RNA functionality, and nanoparticle synthesis and characterization
Assist within vivostudies in preclinical mouse models of cancer assessing therapeutic efficacy, biodistribution, toxicity, and immune activation of RNA therapeutic systems
Non-experimental tasks will include:
Purchase and maintain an up-to-date inventory of cell culture and RNA work reagents
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Associate's degree
Minimum one year of wet-lab experience working in molecular biology, bioengineering, or related field
Minimum one year experience culturing mammalian cell lines
Minimum one year experience in basic molecular biology techniques such as in vitro transcription and gel electrophoresis
Desired Qualifications
B.S. degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum one year experience working with preclinical mouse models
