Description Our trusted client is seeking a skilled Controller Consultant for a long-term project with an IT Software team located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a Controller Consultant, you will be the go-to person ensuring all controls are followed and books are locked. You will be driving the entire month-end close, maintaining compliance with audits, and handling a variety of tasks from basic senior accountant duties to accounting manager responsibilities. The day-to-day responsibilities include: Supervise and manage the entire month-end close process Ensure all controls are followed and books are accurately maintained Handle audit compliance and ensure all regulations are met Post and manage journal entries Conduct account reconciliation and investigate any discrepancies Work closely with the CFO, addressing and answering all accounting-related inquiries Perform basic reconciliations, including payroll reconciliations Use QuickBooks and NetSuite for various financial tasks Handle tasks ranging from basic senior accountant duties to accounting manager responsibilitiesRequirements The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: Minimum of 7 years of experience in the IT Software industry as a Controller or in a similar position Proficiency in QuickBooks and NetSuite software is mandatory Extensive experience with journal entries and account reconciliation Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation Proven leadership abilities and experience in team management Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
