Accounting Assistant

Description Exciting opportunity alert! Small manufacturing company in Ann Arbor, MI is looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our Accounting Manager. This position is 100% onsite, long-term and pay is up to $24/hr. Please apply ONLY if you meet qualifications.Accounting Assistant Responsibilities Make collection calls. Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies. Enter accounts payable invoices into ERP system. Prepare weekly check runs. Prepare bank deposits. Reconcile expense reports. Enter cash receipts. Support HR with payroll duties Other duties as assigned Desired Skills & Experience Highly organized Able to work independently with little or no supervision Strong communication skills both written and verbal Hands on experience with Microsoft Excel and ERP Systems Data entry experience or aptitude 3 – 5 Years experience Requirements Proficiency in entering and coding invoices Experience in handling customer invoices Familiarity with preparing and submitting expense reports Proven track record in commercial collections Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks Knowledge of manufacturing industry accounting practices Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Prior experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry would be an advantage.
