Punching Specialist - Temp to hire - $24-$28/hr DOE - Please respond with resume
Responsibilities:
Operate Amada punch presses and other bending equipment to fabricate sheet metal components.
Perform general fabrication tasks, including cutting, forming, inserting hardware, spot welding, and assembly of metal parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and company policies.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment and fabrication processes as needed.
Keep accurate records of production activities and report any discrepancies or concerns.
Qualifications:
Proven experience operating Amada punch presses and other punch press equipment preferred but not required.
Strong background in general fabrication, including cutting, forming, welding, and assembly.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a fabrication shop setting.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
