Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Licensed HVAC Technician with a "Jack of All Trades" mindset to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, along with the ability to perform various maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across a range of trades. Key Responsibilities:

HVAC System Maintenance & Repair:

Install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Diagnose HVAC system malfunctions and provide effective solutions.

Perform routine inspections to ensure HVAC systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

Replace or repair faulty components such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, motors, and thermostats.

System Installations:

Install new HVAC units and ensure proper setup, including ductwork, piping, and electrical connections.

Ensure compliance with local building codes and industry standards during installation processes.

Test and adjust systems after installation to ensure optimal performance.

Electrical & Mechanical Repairs:

Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues related to HVAC systems, such as wiring, circuits, and controls.

Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other mechanical repairs as needed, contributing to overall system functionality and facility maintenance.

Perform routine inspections of electrical components to ensure safety and operational integrity.

Customer Service & Client Relations:

Provide clear communication with clients regarding system conditions, required repairs, and recommendations for upgrades or replacements.

Maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly attitude while interacting with customers on-site.

Offer guidance to clients on energy-saving tips, system maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.

Preventive Maintenance:

Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure HVAC systems remain in peak operating condition.

Clean filters, coils, and ducts as part of routine maintenance procedures.

Replace worn-out or damaged parts during scheduled maintenance checks.

Emergency Repairs & Troubleshooting:

Respond promptly to emergency service calls, providing quick diagnostics and solutions to urgent HVAC issues.

Assess and resolve both HVAC-related and general repair problems that arise unexpectedly.

Documentation & Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, installations, and maintenance performed.

Keep track of inventory, tools, and equipment to ensure all necessary items are available for repairs.

Complete required paperwork, including work orders and service reports, in a timely and efficient manner.

Workplace Safety:

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures when handling tools, equipment, and HVAC systems.

Ensure a clean and organized work environment to maintain safety and efficiency.

Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations concerning HVAC installations and repairs.

Adaptability & Versatility:

Perform various tasks outside of HVAC duties, such as light carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general maintenance, to ensure the upkeep of the facility.

Assist in training and mentoring other technicians or staff members in multi-trade tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

Licensing/Certification: Valid HVAC technician license (State or local certification required). EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred).

Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician with a diverse range of repair and installation experience.

Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting HVAC systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical issues. Ability to repair and install plumbing, electrical, and carpentry components is a plus.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in tight spaces, and perform physical labor as needed.

Customer-Focused: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to explain technical issues to clients in a clear and understandable manner.

Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and solving a wide range of issues.

Work Ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
