Lakeview Nurseries, a retail garden center in Lunenburg, MA is Hiring.
Hours are 8am – 5pm and subject to change pending the season.
Must be available to work weekends.
Must be able to follow directions and work from a checklist.
Tasks include:
Cash register sales
Building and maintaining displays
Tending to plant material, including watering and deadheading/pruning
Equipment maintenance
Deliveries
Product loading and unloading
Yard maintenance
Sales Representatives will work in the store, sales yard, warehouse, and bulk sales yard to upkeep the maintenance on plant material, rotation of sales stock, restock of bagged goods, and assist with customer relations and sales to proactively engage customers and create opportunities to upsell and cross sell products. Accuracy is extremely important to cash out customer purchases quickly, using correct prices and codes. This includes the ability to lift 65lbs or more and stand for extended periods of time, if not the entire shift.
Ideal candidates would have a background in plant knowledge of one or more of the following: Tropicals, Houseplants, Annuals, Perennials, Shrubs and Trees. A keen sense of sales, customer service, retail experience and ability at sales is preferred. Experience with container design, garden maintenance, and use of front end loaders is a plus.
Wage is negotiable pending applicant's experience.
