BROAD SCOPE OF DUTIES

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of our multi-family apartment complex. Additionally, in your supervisory capacity, you will provide guidance to the maintenance team, manage work orders, process purchase orders, and coordinate with third-party contractors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in basic painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. A valid driver's license and on-call availability are also required.

Position Responsibilities:

Clean vacant units, interior spaces, and grounds to maintain a welcoming environment for residents.

Ensure that vacant units are turned over promptly to maximize occupancy.

Take charge of groundskeeping, landscaping, and snow removal to keep the property looking its best year-round.

Execute interior painting projects and associated prep work with precision.

Perform miscellaneous carpentry repairs to address maintenance issues.

Tackle appliance repairs to ensure residents' convenience and satisfaction.

Expertly repair or replace plumbing fixtures as needed.

Change locks efficiently and securely.

Maintain supplies and meticulous records to streamline operations.

Collaborate with vendors, solicit bids for major repairs, purchases, or contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a multi-family housing setting.

Proficiency in painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.

Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated work ethic.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with property staff and vendors.

Valid driver's license and the flexibility to be on-call when necessary.

Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and outdoor work.

Salary: $21.00 per hour
